Avalanche Photodiodes (APDs)

Lasermate offers avalanche photodiodes (APDs) in both silicon (Si) and indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) materials. Avalanche photodiodes are with internal gain produced by the application of a reverse voltage. As compared to PIN photodiodes, APDs exhibit higher sensitivity, higher signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), fast time response, and low dark current.

  • The Lasermate APD-A13P5-10GC3 is a high-speed 10Gbps InGaAs avalanche photodiode with an integrated transimpedance amplifier. Designed for long-wavelength fiber optic communication (1260nm-1600nm), it comes in a TO-46 package and supports +3.3V operation, making it ideal for high-performance data communication applications.
  • The Lasermate APD-A13P5-1MC3 is a high-performance 155Mbps InGaAs avalanche photodiode with an integrated transimpedance amplifier. Ideal for fiber optic data communication, it offers high-speed response and a compact TO-46 package, optimized for long-wavelength applications with a single +3.3V power supply.
  • The Lasermate APD-A13P5-2GC3 is a high-speed 2.5Gbps InGaAs avalanche photodiode with an integrated transimpedance amplifier. Designed for Gigabit-Capable Passive Optical Networks (GPON) and long-wavelength fiber optic communication, it comes in a TO-46 package, supporting +3.3V operation for high-performance applications.
  • The Lasermate APD-A13P6-25GA3 is a 25Gbps InGaAs avalanche photodiode with an integrated transimpedance amplifier, designed for high-performance fiber optic communication in the 1260nm-1600nm wavelength range. Housed in a TO-46 package with an aspherical lens, it supports data rates up to 25.78125Gbps and operates with a single +3.3V power supply.
