The PLG85LARYK8 is a Class 1 850 nm continuous-wave structured-light laser module featuring a precision random-dot DOE, glass aspherical lens, adjustable-focus optics, single-mode laser diode, and fail-safe APC. Available with 10,000 or 30,000 random dots across an 80° × 64.4° FOV, it provides stable, repeatable structured illumination for indoor active-stereo 3D sensing, 3D depth sensing, machine vision, robotics and automation, and industrial inspection.

Description
The PLG85LARYK8 is a Class 1, 850 nm continuous-wave (CW) structured-light laser module integrating a precision Diffractive Optical Element (DOE), a glass aspherical lens, an adjustable-focus optical design, a single-mode 850 nm laser diode, and a fail-safe Automatic Power Control (APC) circuit designed to support IEC 60825-1 Class 1 operation driven by a standard 3–5 VDC supply.
The module projects either 10,000 or 30,000 random dots over an 80° × 64.4° (H x V) field of view (FOV), with a DOE contrast ≧10 or ≧3, respectively. The adjustable-focus optical design enables optimization of the projected dot pattern for the desired working distance. CW operation provides continuous illumination during camera exposure for stable optical output and consistent dot intensity, while the APC circuit provides stable and repeatable laser output. The PLG85LARYK8 is well suited for indoor active-stereo 3D sensing, depth sensing, and other optical sensing applications.
