The enhanced small form-factor pluggable, SFP+, is a very compact 10 Gbps optical transceiver module for serial optical communication applications at 10Gbps. The module converts a 10Gbps serial electrical data stream to 10Gbps optical output signal and a 10Gbps optical input signal to 10Gbps serial electrical data streams. Unlike previous Ethernet standards, 10 Gigabit Ethernet defines only full duplex point-to-point links. Like previous versions of Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet can use either copper or fiber cabling. Our 10G SFP+ transceivers are available with 850nm VCSEL as the transmitter for the multimode fiber and with 1310nm laser and 1550nm laser as the transmitters for the single mode fiber in SONET OC-192/SDH, 10G Fiber Channel, 10GBASE-SR/SW Ethernet, 10GBASER-LR/LW Ethernet, 10GBASE-ER/EW Ethernet, 10GBASE-ZR/ZW Ethernet applications.
